Silvio Santos, born Senor Abravanel on December 12, 1930, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was a legendary Brazilian television presenter, entrepreneur, and media mogul. Widely regarded as one of the greatest personalities in Brazilian TV history and one of the country's most successful entrepreneurs, he founded the Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (SBT), Brazil's second-largest television network, and hosted the iconic "Programa Silvio Santos" for over 60 years. Known for his charismatic personality, business acumen, and remarkable humility despite his success, he built the Grupo Silvio Santos conglomerate, amassing a fortune estimated at billions. Santos died on August 17, 2024, at the age of 93, in São Paulo, due to bronchopneumonia caused by an H1N1 infection. We will miss you!
